Shout Outs to the World Wide Hip-Hop Congress

From June 26th-28th the big brother Hip-Hop Congress will be holding its 9th annual conference in Detroit. The conference invites heads from all across the US to discuss hip-hop’s current role in today’s society and how it can be harnessed as an agent of change and social justice. The conference will feature several workshops and panel discussions with hip-hop authors and activists Rosa Clemente and Bakari Kitwana. But the highlight of the 2 day conference will definitely be the concert with critically acclaimed Jay Electronica featuring the Dirty D’s own Guilty Simpson, Slum Village, One Be Lo, 5 Ela, and Dj House Shoes.
